Online consultations
Pharmacy First integration
We're very excited to introduce integration with My Local Surgery, who offer free online video consultations to patients with common conditions under the NHS Pharmacy First scheme. Prescriptions are delivered free of charge via Royal Mail's next-day delivery service (patients who normally pay for their prescriptions would still need to pay the prescription fee).
Add the Pharmacy First service to your portal
Add the Consult with a pharmacist or Pharmacy contraceptive service to your patient portal to allow patients to book an appointment 24 hours a day, even when your online consultation service is not available:
The service information page will explain the service in more detail:
Signposting to Pharmacy First service
If a patient starts a medical consultation and selects one of the 6 Pharmacy First conditions, if they are within the eligible age range they will be offered the chance to book an appointment with a pharmacist:
Referral to Pharmacy First service
If a patient submits a medical consultation, and following triage, it is deemed to be suitable for the Pharmacy First initiative, the practice can refer the patient to the service via our two-way messaging feature.
Contact us if you would like to enable these features.
Patient call
No patients waiting
We've tweaked the interface to show a clearer error message when there are no patients waiting for you. Although the system will periodically check for any patients who have arrived, a refresh button will allow you to manually check this status more frequently:
