If you are planning to change your clinical system, it is essential that you inform us in advance. This allows us to ensure everything is configured correctly and to minimise any risk of service disruption.


Before migration begins

  • Attach as much information as possible while the current clinical system is fully operational.

During migration

  • When the clinical system is placed into read-only mode, continue working as normal and sending to clinical these requests will sit in a queue until the new clinical is up and running.

  • Once the new clinical system is live, it will be set up and prepared for use.

  • On the final day, the previous clinical system will be taken offline.

After migration

  • The Engage team will support the transfer of any consultations created during the downtime into the new clinical system.




Important note for Vision Hosted to EMIS Web migrations
If you are moving from Vision Hosted to EMIS Web, your IT team must download and install the Engage Client on all machines before the migration takes place. Please follow the steps outlined here.
