The message API Logon Outcome Error (3) may display for patients when checking in, or when you click the Import Staff from Clinical button inside the Console.

This can happen if the API password used in the Touchscreen Console is no longer correct in EMAS Manager.

How to resolve

Open EMIS web and click the EMIS icon top left > System Tools > EMAS Manager

At the bottom of the page click "Partner API" to open the list of 3rd party API's and from the list locate "Patient Entry Touchscreen"

Then click "Edit Users"

Find the touchscreen account from the list, it's usually named "Miss Touch Screen"

If the check box on the left is unticked, click on it to tick it.

You'll see this pop up, input a new password and click "OK"

You'll also need to update the API password in the Engage Touch Console to match the new password, and sync that across to the check in screen. You can do this from the Clinical tab, and then sync from the "Tools" tab.
